The – literally – most visible result is the renovated Veerhuis that Pieter bequeathed. Two books written by Pieter Kooistra are still available: “Voor” [In Favour] from 1985 and “Het Ideale Eigenbelang” [The Ideal Personal Interest] from 1993.

Pieter also bequeathed an extensive collection of works of art that he made and which are now owned by FEMI along with the archives of Pieter Kooistra which contain the history of the development of Kunstuitleen [the Art Library] in the Netherlands. His body of ideas served also as the basis for the development of Wheels4 all. The new way of decision-taking, in particular, has been elaborated in it; also see www.wheels4all.nl/idealen.
