In 1995 Pieter Kooistra asked Ruud Bakhuizen to become a member of the board of the UNO-Inkomen Association. Ruud was inspired by the sociocratic thinking and the principle of a single income for everyone so he joined the board of UNO-Inkomen. By now UNO-Inkomen has been incorporated into FEMI and has become a registered FEMI fund. This meant that the ideas of Pieter Kooistra were realised with the FEMI projects. With the Veerhuis in Varik aan de Waal (NL) projects and working groups have been given a location to make the ideas of Pieter Kooistra happen.
