The objective was to give 2,000 children of the ages from 3 to 10 years old access to education, drinking water, sanitary provisions, and healthcare. Agricultural education is also a part of the project. Drinking water is provided by means of the construction of water pumps.
Education is not limited to reading, writing and calculation. The children’s creativity is also stimulated in e.g. drama, dance and mime classes. The social awareness is also stirred: What is the context I am living in? How do I create my own liveable future? Parent-teacher contacts are a crucial element of the education. Via the education of their children the parents, especially the mothers, also become aware of their own situations.
For now, it will be examined how the integral approach in which FEMI believes can be implemented here in order to achieve a wider and more integral objective.
